Urban Forestry - Technical Assistance to RI Cities and Towns As a result of the RITree's public outreach efforts, many cities and towns have either established Tree Boards, enacted Tree Protection Ordinances or increased tree care spending. In each instance, RITree provided technical support in identifying issues, providing model ordinances and forecasting financial needs for sustainability. RITree has also helped local volunteers form membership-based tree societies. Contact RITree at 861-1995 for more information.
