ALB Non Host Tree Species

The following 16 species were planted in 2009 under the Worcester’s ALB Reforestation Program.  The USDA-Forest Service considers them non-host plants resistant to ALB damage.  All of these species are commercially available through nursery outlets in New England.

    MASSACHUSETTS
    Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation ( DCR ) issue a quarantine order to suppress, control and eradicate ALB in any area of Massachusetts.  The order regulates the transport of wood debris ½ in diameter or larger within the quarantine area.
