2009 Arbor Day National Poster Contest
Trees are Terrific… in Cities and Towns!
sponsored by Toyota

Calling all fifth grade educators! Please join over 75,000 fifth grade teachers across America in the 2009 Arbor Day National Poster Contest sponsored by Toyota. This year’s theme, “Trees are Terrific… in Cities and Towns!” is designed to increase understanding of the importance of trees in a community.

One fifth grade educator remarks, “The activity guide is a very helpful tool. It is filled with ideas that can be used and help engage the kids. Teachers can never have too many helpful ideas. Thanks!”

Raising student awareness of the important role trees play in the quality of life and environmental health of our cities and towns is the first step in maintaining an urban forest.
